Shiho was a child prodigy who was raised/groomed by the Black Organization, or the Big Bads in Detective Conan-verse. She was coerced into working for them as a biochemist until she was about 18, at which point some Shit went Down and they decided to kill her for refusing to continue her research. She decided to commit suicide with one of her own drugs rather than give them the satisfaction, but instead of killing her as intended, the drug caused her to physically deage and gave her the opportunity to escape as 7-year-old "Ai Haibara." (And yes, for the passingly-familiar-- this drug is also what happened to the titular Conan to make him a tiny rather than regular-sized detective.) Character Details Age appears 7, actually around 18 Hair/Eyes auburn / blue Height/Weight tiny 7-year-old / tiny 7-year-old Notable Traits Child model pretty, and half-white, half-Japanese! 15 Second Summary Ai herself is pretty cynical after all her experiences with the Organization, and can be a little leery of making connections because of the danger of the Black Org finding her and the people close to her. As such, she can come across as pretty morbid and closed-off, but she does have a soft spot for animals, actual children, and, well, genuinely good people. She's doing her best to recover from her experiences, and has softened up some as she's been exposed to things like friendship, justice, and actual optimism for the future. Who knows, maybe not being relentlessly hunted by a ruthless crime organization for a while will turn out to be good for her outlook! Otherwise, she's obviously very, very smart, has great aim with firearms, and has stupid-high pain tolerance. Permissions Ai's got some Trauma in addition to her secret identity being very important to her to preserve, so while I am totally cool with people doing things that could be a trigger like grabbing/picking her up suddenly/hinting or outright acknowledging that they know she's not a child/etc., do know that she's gonna freak out about it in a not-funny way! Otherwise, get in touch if things are heading in a violent direction. Sensing Any telepaths will likely be able to pretty much immediately tell that she's not actually a child, since she thinks about her situation often and as much as she doesn't really put effort into speaking like a child, she REALLY doesn't think like one.
